The Ruins - Iron Man by Tanqexe The Ruins - Iron Man by Tanqexe
This was originally a speedpaint done at Otakon 2006. I decided to bring out this fossil and continue to work on it; this is as far as I've gotten, but it feels like it could use some more work to refine it further...

Finished refining tonight.

Hmmm.... Nice work here, both the coloring and the basic rendering are different and good to boot. I like the "Hero's Return"(the body partly) meets "Ultimate Iron Man"(the helmet) look. Faved!

I like the looseness of this, but I can almost hear others saying it needs to be focused. Perhaps a compromise is to only sharpen the edges on the highlights?

And too bad you're only going to NE cons. Would love to meet you someday. You're one of my all-time faves on DA. (DId you ever finish your bio stuff?)

Yup I know what you mean about it needing to be focused...gotta work on Mia first, then I'll come back to this one :)

I do have a car now, so road trips up and down the East coast aren't out of the question. Who knows, maybe I'll head south sometime, given enough incentive to.

Yeah I finished my BME degree, applying for Johns Hopkins School of Public Health master's program at the moment and praying I'll get in, lol.

I hope you do. (But I would suggest the MS or the equivalent over Hopkin's MPH, which I think is intended for those on the MD track. If I remember correctly from the alum that I knew the MS is a more complete job-ready program.)

But that's a conversation not for here :).

Worry not, I'm doing MHS which is geared towards the MD or MD/PhD track :)

cool. The two people I know from the Hopkins Master's program did that. It's a much better rounded degree.

My boss also did the PhD track if you need some insight into the program...

For one thing I know that it's going to be hell of a lot of work that'll turn me into a hermit...hahaha

Dan tells me you're a friend of fev's? Any friend of fev is a friend of mine...what say we take this convo to IM?
